Founder, President & Salesman
Entered the insurance business in 1989 after graduating from the University of Georgia. He was attracted to the life insurance business as the result of losing his father when he was seven. He founded the company in 1996. During his career, he has specialized in employee benefits, development of online enrollment platforms & hybrid life with long term care benefits. He has the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation from the American College and is a life & qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, with 20+ years as a Top Of The Table qualifier. He is a student of behavioral economics and outlines his approach of turning a self-service enrollment platform into a results-oriented process in the White Paper “The Power of the Regret of No”. In 2020 he received FinTech (financial technology) certification from Harvard Business School Executive Education. He is available for all marketing related conversations.
Vice President
Ashley DeMatteo joined the team in 2005 where she started her career in the employee benefit industry as a new business salesperson. She quickly ascended into management taking responsibility for both training and sales performance as the Director for Worksite Marketing. Through her performance, Ashley was promoted to the leadership team in 2015 and currently serves as the Vice President. As Vice President, Ashley is passionate about delivering the technology, tools and solutions to elevate iOpt’s industry-leading technology platform. In her role, she oversees internal operations, helps build strong customer relationships and maximizes the company’s operating performance. Ashley holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Client Service Manager
Katy Landrum began her career in the Health and Life Insurance industry in 2013 in the individual health insurance sector in Tennessee. She joined iOpt in 2014 and currently serves as the Client Service Manager, focusing on enrollment implementation, managing the communication to and from enrolling employees, and Webinar scheduling. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University. Katy lives in Nashville, TN with her husband and son.
